I Got Nothin

Oh man I'm sorry it's been a little quiet from your old pal Sammy K. I've been trying like a dog to get something written for Season 3 but Christmas in retail is kicking my buns (pardon the language.) I was hoping that I would have something backlogged, but even the movie posts ended up coming out a little later than I would have hoped for, and that was the last thing I wanted to have happen.

So what I'm going to do is something I didn't want to, but here we are. I'm going to be taking time off until the new year. Start fresh with Season 3 in 2017, provided we don't all die in a horrific nuclear holocaust sometime before then.

I'd feel kind of remiss if I didn't offer something to you beautiful readers out there, so I figure I'll at least open up a little Q and A segment. If anybody wants to ask me anything, Ranger-related or no, let me hear about it! Leave a comment, e-mail me (samuraikarasu@gmail.com), I unno. Do one of those two cause I'm more likely to see it. Anything you want my opinion on, thoughts on, I don't know.

I'm planning on posting any answers on Wednesday, December 28th. So if you'd be kind enough to humor me and ask a question sometime before then, I'd appreciate it! Otherwise I'll just be back here on Wednesday with a gun in my mouth.

Don't wanna ask that weirdo who talks about Tommy's bulge and Bulk's choice of underpants a question? That's fine too. Just have a fuckin great Christmas regardless. Sorry I was so ill-prepared for a busy season, but I appreciate your continued reading and support. A bunch of love from my edge of the globe to yours, and a genuine hope that your holidays are wonderful.

  1. Do you express sorrow when you reflect on the plight of the Native Americans who had their land and buffalo violently taken from them by westward expansion?

  2. Have you ever considered doing anything like your Ranger Retrospective for any other show? Tokosatsu or not?

  3. Are you going to continue these posts throughout Zeo, Turbo, and possibly my favorite season, In Space? I'm having a great time reading!

    1. I'd like to second this. We're about 75% through MMPR and I'm not ready for the reviews to end. Space would be a good ending.

  4. Have you considered doing small reviews on any of the games for the show? I'm talking about the snes and drag games :)

  5. Hey y'all, you can feel free to point fingers at me and blame me for nothing being up this week. I completely biffed it, as work this time of year and the decision to rip up the carpeting and tile in literally every room of my house on 2 days notice left me unable to find a pocket of time to get anything post-worthy done. I am trash. Merry Christmas.

  6. So how do you think VR Troopers, Beetleborgs, and Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad stack up against MMPR? (We know about Masked Rider!)

  7. What do you think of the slightly edgier, more 'mature' takes out there? Like that grimdark fan film a while back, the newer movie (understandable if you're waiting on that), and the Boom! Comics?

To me, the Boom! Comics are probably the best out of the trio. Feels kinda like someone's fanfic at times, but it's not bad at all. Trini's still window dressing, though. However, with Zack being the focus of the crossover with JLA, that might change too.

  8. ....I could swear last weekend I saw a recap here of the original VR Troopers pilot with Jason Frank. Did it self-destruct?
